Wondering where to go for your mother daughter trip? Depending if you are looking for city, adventure, relaxation or a little bit of each you have come to the right place. After tons of trips together, we have narrowed this down to be the list of to the best places for a mother daughter trip ideas. Most of these places are great for 3-4 days as we have found that is perfect for a mother daughter dynamic.
New York, New York
New York really is the city that never sleeps. The options are truely endless. There is biking around central park, food tours, all the sight seeing you could want, or broadway shows. Depending on what your mom and daughter hobbies are there is really something for everyone. The time of year can also be flexible, especially if you are looking to celebrate a holiday. We went in spring, so we were able to enjoy being in central park and walking around the city like true tourists. However, the thanksgiving day parade or Christmas in the city would also be a magical experience.
Acadia National Park, Maine
Fly into Bangor, Maine and take the quick drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. I would highly reccomend this in the fall to see the fall foliage, but any time of year has its wins. The views are remarkable, the food is fantastic, and the overall a quaint vacation. Be sure to check out Bee Hive Loop for our favorite hiking trail. Seattle, Washington
This one started by one of us being interested in the gum wall (I will let you decide which one) but there is so much to be seen in Washington. We spent two days in the city of Seattle and then spent the rest of our time at Olympic National Park. While in the city I reccommend hitting up all the typical tourists spots. The gum wall, the first Starbucks, Pike Place Market, but then definetely go to Chihuly Garden and Glass. In Olympic National Park we stayed at this amazing airbnb we got fresh eggs every morning, warm beer bread when we arrived and we were basically in the park with how close we were.
St. Petersburg, Florida
Saint Petersburg, Florida has so much to offer. Whether it is a relaxing day on the beach, bar hopping across the beach bars or going downtown to check out the different resteraunts, St. Petersburg has a little bit of everything. Many hotels and airbnbs have pools, which we enjoyed for quite a bit, Jimmy B’s and Caddy’s were our favorite beach bars and also had live music. Our best meal downtown St. Pete was Bonu and definetely get an espresso martini.
Door County, Wisconsin
For us, we are midwest locals so this is an easy long weekend trip for us. Whether it is heading to Penninsula State Park or jumping on the trolley to try the different wineries, there is something for each duo. One of our favorite stops in Door County is the Hatch Distillery, my husband knows the owner and wow the drinks are amazing. It is a fun place to have a cocktail and have something different from all the wine!
