Best Home Gym Equipment

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

Full gyms and basements are easy to find home gym equipment, but what about an apartment? This equipment is the best for at home workouts no matter what size space you have.

  1. Exercise Bands – Trying to grow your glutes, tone those arms or just get a good stretch in? Exercise bands can be useful for all of this. These are smaller and can be stored in an apartment, but even with a full gym these are a staple.
  2. Weights – I personally use ankle weights, since I do a lot of pilates workouts. However, a pair of dumbbells can also be helpful depending on the workouts you like to do. A full set of dumbbells can be pricey. If you are unsure, try out one set to see if you use them enough to warrant a full set.
  3. Ball – I do reccommend a ball of somesort. Whether it is a boso ball, an exercise ball, or a yoga ball, something will likely be necessary
  4. Workout Mat – For me, I am not a big yoga mat user. I have always had carpet where my workouts are done and slide around on the mat over the carpet. If you have hard flooring in your workout area this is a perfect addition.
  5. Yoga Strap – This was a piece of gym equipment that I didn’t know I needed until I had it. I first used a Yoga Strap at a Barre class, and it really helped with my post workout stretching. If you are working on your flexibility this is something great to add in your collection. This is also a small piece that can be great for apartments!
